Will Rangers go into liquidation ?

So much has been written about Glasgow Rangers in the last few months as the club has gone from one crisis to another.  The arrestment order by HMRC and the ongoing tax dispute,  the administration of the club, revelations about Craig Whyte and the Ticketus deal, potential buyers holding back and now, most recently, the fine and restrictions by the SFA which will prevent them from signing new players.

Ally McCoist the Ibrox manager has said that the punishment is so severe that they may have to withdraw from the SPL.   They will then have to seek re-election to the Scottish Football League.  This would mostly likely mean them starting in the third division.  The administrators are appealing the punishment but it is yet more difficulty for the club.  Some fans are supportive of the idea as it might be a way to survive and come back over time.

With all that is going on it is a real possibility that the club will go into liquidation and something will have to rise from the ashes.
