Spectrum Personnel to go into liquidation

Spectrum Personnel the Motherwell based recruitment business which supplied temporary and contract engineering and logistics workers  has gone into liquidation following poor sales

Provisional liquidators at KPMG said the company, could no longer operate as a going concern after experiencing "challenging trading conditions".

The firm had 30 direct employees and 170 contractors based at its two offices in Motherwell and Gateshead.

Provisional liquidator Blair Nimmo from KPMG said: "Despite its strong reputation as a supplier of temporary workers for the engineering and logistics sectors, Spectrum Social Network Ltd has experienced challenging trading conditions in recent times.

"Unfortunately, due to those conditions it is no longer viable to trade the business as a going concern and all 200 staff have been made redundant with immediate effect."
